The Approaching Storm – 1

This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Look! Disaster is spreading from nation to nation; a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth. Jeremiah 25:32

Oh how long we have been preparing for this day. As the storm approaches, large dark clouds have filled the skies, winds have begun to blow and the cold rain drops have begun to fall. Midnight is quickly approaching. The warning is being given.

There is a storm coming.

The tempest is coming and we must get ready for its fury by having repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord will arise to shake terribly the earth. We shall see troubles on all sides. Thousands of ships will be hurled into the depths of the sea. Navies will go down, and human lives will be sacrificed by millions. Fires will break out unexpectedly and no human effort will be able to quench them. The palaces of earth will be swept away in the fury of the flames. Disasters by rail will become more and more frequent. Confusion, collision, and death without a moment’s warning will occur on the great lines of travel. The end is near, probation is closing. Oh, let us seek God while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near! *1

The world is about to experience firsthand the final consequences of the cosmic conflict in which we have all been engaged in. As the Lord approaches to finally bring His people home, the enemy will do everything in his power to bring forth the fury of a storm such as has never been seen before.

The greatest fear is that so many are not ready. They continue to live their lives as if everything were ok, ignoring the reality of what is about to take place.

A storm is coming, relentless in its fury. Are we prepared to meet it? We need not say: The perils of the last days are soon to come upon us. Already they have come. *2

We have received plenty of light so that we are not caught by surprise. We must heed the warning and live our lives as God expects us to. We must prepare for the coming of the Lord.

God has revealed what is to take place in the last days that His people may be prepared to stand against the tempest of opposition and wrath. Those who have been warned of the events before them are not to sit in calm expectation of the coming storm comforting themselves that the Lord will shelter His faithful ones in the day of trouble. We are to be as men waiting for their Lord, not in idle expectancy, but in earnest work, with unwavering faith. It is no time now to allow our minds to be engrossed with things of minor importance. While men are sleeping, Satan is actively arranging matters so that the Lord’s people may not have mercy or justice. The Sunday movement is now making its way in darkness. The leaders are concealing the true issue, and many who unite in the movement do not themselves see whither the undercurrent is tending. Its professions are mild and apparently Christian, but when it shall speak it will reveal the spirit of the dragon. *3

Let us not be diverted from the issue before us. Awaken, arise, it is time to take action, for our redemption is near.
