Knowledge Of The Word Of God Is Progressive

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. (Daniel 12:4).
Our knowledge of the Word of God is progressive. As we approach the end we the final events are revealed to us. The Lord has always had a specific message for each time. These messages were proclaimed with great power in the midst of trials and persecutions by the most faithful.
The same trials have been experienced by men of God in ages past. Wycliffe, Huss, Luther, Tyndale, Baxter, Wesley, urged that all doctrines be brought to the test of the Bible and declared that they would renounce everything which it condemned. Against these men persecution raged with relentless fury; yet they ceased not to declare the truth. Different periods in the history of the church have each been marked by the development of some special truth, adapted to the necessities of God’s people at that time. Every new truth has made its way against hatred and opposition; those who were blessed with its light were tempted and tried. The Lord gives a special truth for the people in an emergency. Who dare refuse to publish it? He commands His servants to present the last invitation of mercy to the world. They cannot remain silent, except at the peril of their souls. Christ’s ambassadors have nothing to do with consequences. They must perform their duty and leave results with God. *1
Now, we not only have the privilege of knowing past messages but of having our specific end-time message.
He said unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book, because the time is at hand. (Revelation 22:10).
We also have the example of these great martyrs and all instances in which God led each of them to proclaim His message with power. Not to mention, the fact that they did this looking at the promise from afar.
These all died in faith, not having received the promises but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded by them and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. (Hebrews 11:13).
Therefore now is the time in which we must plead for the power of the Holy Spirit. We must grow in our knowledge of the Word of God and Jesus Christ who is the author and finisher of our salvation and whom will soon come in the clouds of heaven.

Everything indicates that the end is near.

THE LORD IS COMING, SOON, AMEN, YES, COME LORD JESUS!
