The Earth Was Lightened...

Can you imagine the amount of coverage that only one match in the World Cup has received. Each stadium has a capacity of more than 50,000 people. Moreover, each television station reported an average of 4 to 13 million viewers per game (and 2-3 games are played each day). This does not include the number of viewers who watch these games on the internet or through other mediums not so easily counted in the statistics.

The global coverage received by the World cup really is impressive. This led me to think, if you the same attention or importance were given to preaching the gospel as is given to the World cup, perhaps in just one day the earth would be illuminated with His glory and the Lord would return.
And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. Revelation 18:1.
But we can be sure that when we receive the Holy Spirit, the world will be lightened with his glory. Everyone will have the opportunity to hear about the biggest event ever to take place on the face of this earth. All will have the opportunity to choose a team, the which will overcome sin and the forces of evil through Jesus Christ our great captain, or those who will lose forever.

What group will you be in?
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:13-14.
What the Lord most desires is our salvation. Sadly, there are but few who choose the narrow way. They find it too difficult and full of sacrifices.

But those of us who choose to cross through the straight gate and take the narrow road do so because we see the ultimate goal. The glory of eternity and all its privileges illuminates our lives and make it all worthwhile.

Do not miss the opportunity to participate in this great event. Today is the day to accept the Lord, and prepare for eternity.

THE LORD IS COMING SOON, AMEN, YES, COME LORD JESUS!
