Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness... Genesis 1:26Adam and Eve were perfect in symmetry and beauty. Their minds were well balanced and their bodies filled with vitality. They were without sin and full of health and vigor. They were eternal beings who did not know illness or death.
Unfortunately this changed with a simple act. Eve heard the seductive voice of the serpent and ate the forbidden fruit.
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Genesis 3:6
They began to die at that moment, sickness and death entered this world. From that moment their minds and perfect bodies were filled with sin.
Our mind can never understand the life changing effects that the fall of Adam and Eve had. When they gave in to temptation, they surrendered their appetites to the enemy of souls. In all its forms, Satan took control over the human’s appetite. Satan has managed to take control of the mind and body, as it did with Adam and Eve.

And since the fall, there has been intemperance in almost all its forms. Appetite has dominated reason. The human family has violated the laws of health and has gone to excess in almost everything. The diseases have been increasing. "(ARC, 171, 172)Today one of the fiercest temptations that human beings have is appetite. The inspired pen tells us,
From the first time that humankind surrendered to the appetite, self-indulgence has continued to increase to the point that health has been sacrificed on the altar of appetite." (CRA, 173-174).During the course of human history few men such as Daniel and his friends remained loyal and did not fall under the unbridled power of appetite (Daniel 1:1-21). God greatly rewarded these men, giving them intellectual ability and health. God's plan is that you have good health and that you have it in abundance.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 2
