What Is Life?

We have all heard the news. As events occur in this world, it causes a momentary impression, a second of reflection for everyone. These disasters for an instant, remind people busy with the cares of the world that life is a fragile thing.
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. James 4:13-14
Have you stopped to ponder, what is life? Have you looked at who you are to determine if your life will simply end when your eyes close? With just one event, more than 50,000 people can go to rest.* 1

Do not let the sadness of the moment, the impact of events, fade from your mind before asking yourself, what is life?

How sad it would if you had to tell someone who was born in poverty, lived with sadness, and died in solitude, that this world, that life was everything.

The Lord calls us all and invites us so that our names are written in the book of life.
... but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:20
…To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. Revelation 2:7
…He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. Revelation 2:11
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Revelation 3:5
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. Revelation 3:20-21
Heed the Lord call. If you still have life, it is because the Lord is waiting patiently for you to accept Him. He is waiting for you to side with justice and learn how to walk on the narrow path.

Time is short, the Lord is coming soon!
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Matthew 24:32-33
The Lord is ready to guide us to the tree of life, to guide us to the eternal springs of water. Today is the day of salvation.
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2 Corinthians 6:2
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Mark 21:28
What is life? Life is eternal life in Jesus! We will be clothed with immortality and dwell together with our loved ones in heaven forever.

Let Jesus come into your life, to purify your character, to remove all that binds you to this world and to wipe away the stain of sin. Allow the Holy Spirit to use you to lead others to the Lord, because when this gospel is preached to all, then the end will come.

JESUS IS COMING, AMEN, YES, COME, LORD JESUS!
