The Shaking - Part 1

but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.* 1
In this parable the Lord explains how the wheat and tares essentially grow together. But eventually will be separated.
Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’ * 2
What is the method used for separating the tares from the wheat? And when will it start? First, let us see an example of this process in the Scriptures.
And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.* 3
Jesus himself tells Peter that Satan is going to sift him like wheat. We see that the one who causes the pain and suffering is Satan. The Lord allows this to happen to try the faith of his children so that he may separate the wheat (just) from the tares (the wicked).
The Shaking of God blows away multitudes like dry leaves. Prosperity multiplies a mass of professors. Adversity Purges them out of the church.* 4
The servant of the Lord tells us when this event will take place.
The mighty shaking has commenced and will go on, and all will be shaken out who are not willing to take a bold and unyielding stand for the truth and to sacrifice for God and His cause. * 5
I saw that we are now in the shaking time. Satan is working with all his power to wrest souls from the hand of Christ and cause them to trample underfoot the Son of God.*6
We are in the shaking time, the time when everything that can be shaken will be shaken. The Lord will not excuse those who know the truth if they do not in word and deed obey His commands.*7
God is now sifting His people, testing their purposes and their motives. Many will be but as chaff--no wheat, no value in them.*8
Although it has not yet reached it strongest, the sifting has begun. Little by little hearts are being scrutinized by the Lord and many who had the light, and heard the message but rejected it or never lived it will not be saved.
It is a solemn statement that I make to the church, that not one in twenty whose names are registered upon the church books are prepared to close their earthly history, and would be as verily without God and without hope in the world as the common sinner.*9
The Lord's servant does speak very solemn words. Many of us think that we are saved simply by attending church. But the shifting is a violent enough process, capable of removing the tares. Only those who are holding on to the Lord’s hand will overcome. The Lord himself prayed for Peter.
But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail...*10
Can you imagine that the same Peter who had been with Jesus during his entire ministry on earth, the same Peter who had seen his miracles including the resurrection of the dead, that was the same Peter, Jesus was praying for? Oh, how much more prayer might we need, living in the end days?

Seek God in prayer every day. Only in close communion with Him will we be victorious. The time is approaching when all will end and our God will reward the just.

JESUS IS COMING, AMEN, YES COME LORD JESUS!
